Richard, John, and Mr. Hartley were all waiting for them by the lake with worry written on their faces.

"Where on earth have you been?" Richard asked. He rushed over and picked up Sharon, who was now very weak.

"We've been worried sick about you, you've been gone for a while," said John.

"Why did you take Sharon along? Her swollen leg is now worse!" shouted Richard.

"Sorry but she insisted on accompanying us," said Emily.

Shaking his head in disbelief, he called John, and together, they carried her inside the cave. Emily, Rachael, and Mr. Hartley followed behind as they laid her down on the blankets inside the cave. Sharon looked ghostly and her clothes were soaked with sweat.
